On Friday night the Gold Coast Harness Racing Club hosted a bumper night of Group 3 events, with four Qbred Breeders Classic finals lighting up the track.
The opening QBred final of the night took place as race three. The $35, 000 Group 3 3YO QBred Breeders Classic for fillies was won by Abbey Tiara ($3.10) who beat home the $2.50 favourite Torque In Motion by 2.8m with Spread The Joy ($14.80) in third over 7m back from the winner.
The $35, 000 Group 3 3YO QBred Breeders Classic for colts & geldings was next on the programme and saw Mach Three gelding Mach Dreamy ($9.70) secure a narrow 1.6m victory ahead of the $2.20 favourite Major Bronski with Karter Brown in third, giving the Peter Greig-trained pacer his third successive win.
The $30, 000 Group 3 4YO QBred Breeders Classic for entires & geldings was won by stablemate of the 3YO Fillies champion Abbey Tiara, the Bill Dixon-trained Elzar.

The last Group status race of the night was the $30, 000 Group 3 4YO QBred Breeders Classic for mares, where Third Strike claimed victory. Third Strike ($4.30) beat home surprise roughie Jenzajet ($53.20) by 4m with the odds-on favourite Making Magic ($1.70) in third less than half a metre further away.
